EVAP System Master Diagnostic Kit
What's in the Box / How does it Work?

The Pressurization/Test Manifold a portable, self contained hand held unit designed to check the vehicle EVAP systems ability to hold pressure. Monitor system pressure and pressure decay on the precision gauge, or use the pressure manifold to maintain system pressure while pinpointing a leak source.
- Can be used for complete EVAP system testing.
- Used to perform factory shop manual testing and diagnosis.
- Uses the shop air line, a portable compressed air tank, or a compressed nitrogen tank (preferred) to pressurize the EVAP system to test for leakage.
- Connects directly to the vehicle EVAP service port or to the universal filler neck adapter

The OBDII Fuel Cap Tester a portable, electronic, self contained hand held unit designed to check the vehicle fuel caps ability to hold pressure. A female quick disconnect coupling allows changing of cap adapters, and provides updating the tester as new adapters are needed.
- Quickly verifies the fuel cap as the cause of an OBD II check engine light on
- Verifies the cap will pass an emission inspection test

Universal Filler Neck and Fuel Cap Adapters Covers ALL foreign and domestic OBDII vehicles.

Diagnostic Manual Comprehensive Instruction and Diagnostic Manual.
Pressurization/Test Manifold
Hanger hang tester from vehicle for ease of use when locating the source of an EVAP leak.
Analog pressure gauge. Diaphragm type with a 0 to 60 in. H2O (water column) scale. The gauge will read system pressure when the pressure increase button is not pressed.
Pressure increase (FILL) button. When pressed, pressure gradually builds up in the system.
Pressure increase button latch holds FILL button down to maintain system pressure when pinpointing the source of a leak.
Pressure supply input. Connects to air or nitrogen pressure source.
Inlet filter - is user replaceable.
Ground screw. Connect tester and operator to a vehicle ground prevents static charge buildup. Use ground wire (not supplied) to connect to vehicle chassis.
Safety control valve. Limits system test pressure to safe limits.
CAUTION! Do not remove the protective safety cap or obstruct the cap vents
Thumb screw disconnect fitting. Connects directly to vehicle EVAP service port or the universal filler neck adapter.
OBDII Fuel Cap Tester
PRESS TO START Tester power push on / push off button.
- Power on initiates tester auto zero (no cap should be installed during power on) and start of test.
- The tester will turn off in 20 seconds if the test is not started.
- The tester will turn off after the test result LED flashes.
OBD II FAIL / READY Red LED
- On indicates auto zero is complete and test is ready to be started.
- Flashes at end of test if cap leak down test fails OBD II standards.
PASS Green LED
- On after power up indicates auto zero in progress.
- On during pumping indicates pressure to cap is being built up.
- Flashes at end of test if cap leak down test passes (pressure loss is within specification).
STOP / TEST BEGINS Green LED
- On during pumping indicates pressure to cap is sufficient to perform test. Stop pumping
I/M FAIL Yellow LED
- Flashes at end of test if cap leak down test fails I/M standards.
The OBDII Fuel Cap Tester allows repair technicians to test a vehicle fuel cap and determine if the cap is leaking sufficiently to cause the MIL light to activate on OBDII vehicles. The OBDII Cap tester will also Identify leaking fuel caps that may fail I/M test lane fuel cap tests.
Pressurization and decay are monitored by the tester after building up pressure with the built in hand pump. Pass, or OBD II and I/M fail results of the test are displayed by blinking LEDs, eliminating the guesswork in reading analog gauges.
Universal Filler Neck and Fuel Cap Adapters
Slide and spring assembly push assembly forward to secure hook and filler neck seal to vehicle fuel filler neck
